Our origins go back to 1967, when Koos Kuiper brought together various groups to form Rugby Club Groningen. This merger of citizens and students laid the foundation for a club that is firmly anchored in the Groningen sports landscape to this day. Our club continues to grow. From our lá lá lá Lady Bears and four men's teams to our vibrant youth, we offer rugby to everyone!
What really sets us apart is the unique bond between our members and our connection with Groningen and the surrounding area. Whether it concerns singing our 'Grunnings laid' together, the annual mussel evening, our traditional Easter trip or the Groningen 10's: our traditions connect us as a club and make us unique!
In honor of our rich history, we are proud to reintroduce our classic club shirt. This shirt, imbued with pride and passion, embodies the soul of Groningen Rugby Club and reminds us of countless unforgettable moments, both in the city and beyond!
